Scottish Silver Cream Jug, Edinburgh c1798
An Antique, George III, Sterling Silver Cream Jug made by Walter & Patrick Cunningham, Edinburgh and dating from c1798.
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "WPC" for Walter & Patrick Cunningham, Edinburgh, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the "Castle" Edinburgh town mark and date letter "S" for 1798/99.
The jug measures just under 4" inches (100mm) in height.
The weight is 130.1g/4.58oz/4.18ozt.
It is in reasonably good condition for it's age, there are some minor indents and evidence of an old repair to the back seam/top of handle join. Condition reflected in the price.
