A fine George III silver pedestal milk jug with attractive shaped rim and ornate double scrolled handle with cast acanthus leaf detail to the thumb rest. An all over lightly hammered finish and set on a multi stepped domed foot. Hallmarked for London 1784, maker John Lambe. The original owner initials are engraved to the underside of the foot "S B M".

It measures 11.5cm (4 1/2") high and 10.2cm (4") spout to handle and weighs 76g / 2.5ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage, dents or repairs and minor handling wear the marks are lovely and clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
