Wonderful cream or milk jug. Sheffield 1874.
A very attractive solid silver jug assayed in Sheffield in 1874. The silversmiths initials JEB for John Edward Bingham who joined the company Walker and Hall in 1852 and helped grow it from 20 employees when he arrived to 1500 employees in 1892.
This jug will give an air of elegance to the Christmas table as the pudding is passed around.
The condition is excellent with no dents or scratches and with intact gilding to the inside. The height is 12 centimeters and the weight 200 grams.
