Fine & Heavy Arts & Crafts Planished Silver Porringer
Lovely large arts and crafts silver porringer with fabulous cast coiled snake handles with ribbed back and detailed head with open mouth. Pretty ivy leaf terminals and an organic style engraved detail top one side framing a vacant cartouche for engraving. The body is waisted and hand hammered to give a lovely planished finish. Hallmarked for London 1912, makers Daniel & John Welby.
It measures 7.5cm (3") high, 11cm (4 3/8") wide rim to rim and 18cm (7") across the handles. It weighs 318g/10.2ozt. Condition is excellent, with no damage or dents and very light surface wear from age and use, and lovely and clean inside. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
