Early Victorian Fold Out Nutmeg Grater - 1851
A pristine, solid silver nutmeg grater of oval cylindrical form, having a double fold-out hinge to reveal the 'blued' steel grater blade. The concealed hinge tot the based of the grater is beautifully engineered and in perfect condition.
Fully hallmarked for Rawlings and Summers, London 1851.
This is a really beautiful and functional item.
Condition - Perfect condition, no dents, scratches or engraving to the silver. Some

Both hinges are strong and secure, opening smoothly and closing snugly.
Good clear hallmarks to lid and body.
