Suite of Arts and Crafts Silver Plated Bonbon Dishes by WAS Benson.
A rare and stylish matching suite of bonbon dishes in exemplary condition by WAS Benson.
Finely executed in the form of stylised flower petals, these are a rarely seen example of Bensons innovative designs.
The larger central dish retains its orginal clear glass liner with curved petals, the smaller matching pair of slighly simpler form.
Ref: A similar brass and copper version is illustrated in Ian Hammerton's Benson book 'Arts and Crafts Luminary and Pioneer of Modern Design page 254, plate 25 model Number 479.
Condition: In superb condition with little previous use and likely to have been kept in a cabinet since new.
Date: Circa 1900.
Size: Central dish 17cm diamter x 12cm height.
Marks: Stamped to main dish Benson and Rd359449.
