Maker's mark for Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard.
Approximate dimensions: height 99.5mm, diameter at widest point 46.9mm, weight 65.5 grams.
There is a slight dent just above the hallmark on the top.
There are surface marks associated with normal use and age.
Notice there is a notch on the top and a slot on the body so that they fit together neatly. Please see photos.
Overall in very good condition.
An attractive pepper carrying the last hallmark from William IV's reign. This hallmark was used 29th May to 20th June 1837 and was changed to Victoria's first hallmark on June 21st 1837.
