Delightful Silver Antique Stamp Box 1901
DELIGHTFUL EDWARDIAN SOLID SILVER STAMP BOX BY JOHN EDWARD WILMOT 1901
A beautiful English antique late Victorian solid silver stamp box by the silversmith John Edward Wilmot and Assayed fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1901. Lovely quality, superbly engraved hinged silver lid decorated with flowers and a butterfly and has attractive pierced sides. Original interior wood lining and with no added personal engraved inscriptions or monograms.
Measurements Measures approx. 1.65 inches (41mm) x 1.5 inches (36mm) and is 0.85 inches (21mm) deep.
Very Good Condition with no nasty knocks or dents, Tiny little nick to the pierced work, (see image 6 right corner for a close-up). The hinged silver lid works perfectly and the lid opens and closes properly. Original interior wood lining and with no added engraved inscriptions or monograms.
Lovely quality antique silver stamp box which are generally scarce to find so beautifully crafted and engraved.
