Silver aide-memoire by J. Gloster, Birmingham 1919
This elegant silver purse or aide-memoire is dated Birmingham 1919 and was made by Joseph Gloster. Of rounded rectangular form, the front engraved with decorative foliate scrolls, the back engraved with a variation of the same pattern. The top fitted with a chain attachment and finger ring. The push button opening to reveal the original leather interior with assorted compartments and a silver propelling pencil.
