A whisky Noggin hallmarked for London 1904.
A lovely glass and solid silver noggin which would have probably held a drink such as whisky. A noggin was the name for a small measure of spirit, approximately a gill. The glass has an attractive star cut base.
To the flat of the lid it measures 9cms.
Very good condition. No chips or dings to the glass or silver
In 1893 the firm A.B Savory & Sons, became known as Goldsmiths’ Alliance Ltd. From 1898 the firm became Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd being active as jewellers, dealers in diamonds and precious stones, silversmiths, electroplaters and watch and clock makers.
