2 Hester Bateman Incuse Marked Silver Teaspoons 1784
ere we have for sale a rare and collectable pair of George III period silver Old English pattern teaspoons. These teaspoons are by one of the most famous silversmiths of the 18th Century, Hester Bateman. These pieces of silver flatware are even more special because they are marked with an incuse duty mark, which was only used between December 1784 - May 1785.
The spoons carry a period monogram with letters in period script, they are delicate, dainty and beautifully made. The quality of Bateman silver is exemplified in these spoons. This is your opportunity to own a piece of english Georgian history. The details are as follows:
