Silver Scent Bottle, Poss Hilliard & Thomason 1890
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this very pretty late Victorian hallmarked silver scent bottle.
This highly collectible and superb quality hand engraved perfume/scent bottle has an intricate folilate decoratcoration, the lid has a shaped cartouche with a period monogram.
The details as follows:
Silversmiths: poss Hilliard & Thomason , poorly stamped but I can just make out what appears to be a H & poss a T
Date of manufacture: 1890
Assay office: Birmingham
Material: Sterling Silver
Dimensions
Diameter: 2 cm
Height: 6 cm
Weight: 30 grams including glass interior.
Condition report:
In overall good condition for its age, however it is lacking its original stopper and the glass is cracked, the exterior appears to be in overall good order, A few small very minor shallow dents, plus age related scratches and tarnish marks.
