Stunning set of 3 large late Georgian silver candlesticks with baluster stems, shell corner square bases and detachable sconces. Very pretty and ornate with a mix of reeded knops and organic style scrolled details. All 3 are hallmarked (and the 3 sconces all match) for Sheffield 1828, makers Thomas, James and Nathaniel Creswick (Creswick & Co.). Originally of course there would have been 4 or 6 but these now make a perfect usable set for a dining table or sideboard.

They measure 11" high and 5 1/4" across the bases. They have loaded bases but are substantial weighing 2900g in total. Condition is very good there are a few small losses amongst the raised areas of the base and middle knop on one but no other damage and appropriate surface wear. They all have an attractive family crest of an owl on a rocky outcrop holding an arrow. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
