A very good Scottish Provincial Silver Toddy Ladle made by William Simpson of Banff.
It has the initial "L" on the handle.
The ladle hallmarked with the maker's mark "WS" for William Simpson, the Scottish thistle, the letter "B" for Banff and also the letter "e".
William Simpson is recorded as working in Banff c1825-1855.
