The Sacred Alliance, a most unusual and rare timepiece, circa 1815, depicting the three monarchs: Alexander the 1st, the Russian Tsar, Francis the 1st, the emporer of Austria and Frederick William the 3rd, King of Prussia. The movement indicates that it has not been in use for some time and appears as such in the image. The Sacred Alliance was founded on September 26th 1815. Therefore, the timepiece would have been made around that time to commemorate this significant alliance. Ht 21, W 16.5 Frank Craig Antiques established 1972, with 50 years in the antique trade.
