"Albion Grove" Rifle Club Spoon Elkington & Co
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale this fine quality World War 1 era hallmarked silver George V period Rifle Club souvenir spoon.
The spoon is by the famous firm of silversmiths, Elkington & Co, which was founded by George Richards Elkington and Henry Elkington in the 1830s and remains one of the most important makers of silverware.
The spoon is of good gauge silver. This piece of silver flatware has a trailing vine design to the lower part of the handle near the bowl. At the terminal of the handle is a pair of rifles, and above that is the club's name "Albion Grove". A lovely quality souvenir spoon that would make an ideal addition to any silver (souvenir) spoon collection.

In excellent unused condition with the usual surface scratches consistent with age. A few minute deeper scratches to the edge of the bowl and some light tarnish marks are evident plus a few tarnish spots.
