Rare and gorgeous copper fireside box by Charles Eustace (1876- 1957)of Hayle, Cornwall. It has a superb galleon to the front lid and smaller ones to each side panel. The work around the handle is magnificient.
This box has a wooden interior base - most probably to be used for kindling rather than coal.
A superb piece of Cornish metalware and in excellent condition, which should be in a museum.
