A very well made and good looking pair of matching Arts & Crafts coal boxes or storage bins made of solid brass c1910. Each with a hinged lid and heavy gauge riveted side handles and top handle. The embossed design is on all sides and they stand on extended pad feet. They have the original liners to the inside which are both in good condition, no holes!
Rare to find a matching pair, both in good condition with just general wear commensurate with age. No repairs or breaks.
42cmH x 50cmW x 34cmD Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
