A super Georgian red Morocco leather purse edged with silver, and silver fastening to the top.

The edge is brightcut and there are small floral roundells to the front and back.

It opens both sides by sliding the small button upwards.

The inside is lined with the original paper.

There are signs of wear commensurate with the age of the item circa 1790. The silver is all present, one slight split in the silver trim at the top on one side.

There have also been a couple of repairs to the inside of the purse, where the leather has worn, but this is only to be expected. It is a rare survivor.
