This fine quality pair of Georgian silver sugar tongs has a hand engraved bright cut decoration, the terminal of the tongs with an oval cartouche, which is free of any personalisation.

Silversmith: only W visible but probably by George Wintle
Assay office: lacks leopard head mark but rest of the marks match London
Year of manufacture: 1811

Condition report:
In very good condition for their age, with some age related scratches and surface marks plus odd tiny deeper scratch and the odd tarnish spot.
