An original large French art deco bronze sculpture of a hunter "Le Guetteur" on lookout with spear in hand by famous French artist Jean de Roncourt c1920-30.

This is the rarer bronze, and not spelter version of this piece.

Mounted on a Belgian black marble base.

Inscribed 'J de Roncourt' on top surface of marble base and marked 'BRONZE' on reverse of figure.

Lovely green patina with fine casting detail.

Height including base: 56cm/ 22"

Depth: 17cm/ 6"

Width: 55cm/ 22"

Weight: circa 15kg
