This compact is suitable for use as a handbag mirror.
This is a rare & magnificent octagonal powder compact made from fully hallmarked sterling silver by Barker Brothers Ltd. The compact is in superb condition & there isn't any enamel loss or fading. The pink enamel has a checkered design & is a much more attractive shade of pink than I have been able to capture with my camera. This authentic Art Deco compact was assayed in Birmingham in 1934. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfectly clear reflection. The base is decorated with a stylish engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes. A velvet drawstring pouch is included.
This solid silver compact measures 3" & it weighs 86.4 grams.
