Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale this fine quality George V period Art Deco silver cigarette case with gilt wash interior. The cigarette case has a gently curved rectangular body which is designed to perfectly fit into a pocket and has a vacant square cartouche with space for your own monogram.
The engine turned design creates a checkerboard effect when held to the light, a very attractive and clever design indeed. In good overall condition with age related wear and heavy tarnish marks around the edge of the case, plus some small dents to the edges and a very shallow dent to the lid. The gilt wash interior is still very bright with little or no wear and the hallmarks remain sharp and clear.
