A Fine Quality ASPREY OF LONDON Heavy Solid Silver 7-bar Toast Rack incorporating a Solid Silver Crumb Tray Base.

Dating to 1909-1910, this exceptional toast rack unusually has a boat shaped integral crumb dish with scrolled edge decoration and sits on 4 scrolled feet.

Fully hallmarked with London Assay mark, maker's initials CA.GA for Charles and George Asprey and date letter 'O' for 1909-10. ASPREY LONDON stamp to base.

Total weight is a substantial 252gm (~8.9oz).

Asprey have been Silversmiths & Jewellers to British royalty dating back to the 1800s when Queen Victoria awarded their first Royal Warrant. Since then, they have held a Royal Warrant for every British monarch and many other foreign heads of state.
