1886 Antique Sterling Silver Double Inkwell silver sterling silver silver ink well %%alt5%%
Fully Hallmarked English Sterling Silver double inkstand or inkwell in lovely condition. The two cut crystal bottles stand on an oval dish shaped stand and are held in place by two raised cups. The dish has an attractive beaded edge along with the two raised cups. The two cut crystal bottles are in good condition with just one very minor chip to the base of one of the bottles but this can not been seen unless you turn the bottle completely over. The dish is fully hallmarked to the underside and both bottle lids are also fully hallmarked to the inside along with the collars.
Item Condition The overall condition of the inkwell is very good with just a few minor undulations to the base but nothing that you would not expect to find on a piece of silver of this age that has obviously been lovingly been used over the past 125 years
