A lovely Victorian Silver Bowl on squat pedestal Base with pair of Griffin Handles,the bowl is wrythen and alternately embossed with Flowers.Top edge is Scalloped.Has engraved Crest 'Amino et Fide' meaning Courageous and Faithful.The Griffin Handles are symbolic of Courage and Boldness.Full Hallmarks for `Ldn 1891 by Carringtons & Co., Regent Street.The Carringtons mark is also on the Base. Diam 14cms.(20cms wide incl. Handles). Height 6.5cms. Substantial gauge throughout and weighs 300 Grammes. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
