A fantastic quality and rarely found 19thcent Sewing Necessaire, The Tools are fitted into a Brass Circular Box around which are Brass RopeTwists, the top of the Lid has a circular piece of Pietra Dura with Floral Design. It opens to reveal three Tiers of Leather bound and velvet lined Trays,each having a Gilt knob with which you can lift it out. Each fitted for Sewing Tools etc. The top section is fitted with M O P and Steel Tools,below that is a quartered section with two Pin Cushions and sections for Needles and Pins.At the base is a tray fitted to take Reels of Cotton.There is also a circular Leather Bound Needle Case which sits on top of all the trays.The Inside of the Box is also lined throughout with Leather. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
