Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Locket 1893

The locket has the most beautiful Art Nouveau repoussé work, which comprises mostly of scroll work, floral motifs and foliage.
This is an exquisitely beautiful, fully hallmarked, sterling silver Victorian locket / pendant in superb condition. Ideal as a one of a kind gift, when only something unique will do. The locket was assayed at Birmingham in 1893. As you would expect from this era, the piece is ornate. The base and lid are hallmarked. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The lid interior still retains the original vermeil coating. The original hanging ring is in place and so this delightful antique is ready to wear on your favourite necklace.
This Art Nouveau solid silver pendant measures 4.2 x 3.2 cm and weighs 8.1 grams.
The sterling silver chain is just a prop so that we can take photos from the right angles.
