A stylish well made & beautiful sterling silver handbag mirror in excellent condition.
The compact has chequered engine turned designs on the lid & base.
The cartouche is inscribed 'C E W'.
This compact is fully hallmarked sterling silver 'B G into an oval', the maker is Bert Gordon.
This mid century vanity was assayed at Birmingham in 1946.
The mirror gives a good & accurate reflection.
Measures just over 7 x 6.6cm. Weighs 88.9 grams.
