This is quite an extraordinary antique miniature pictorial enamel plaque or medal.

Measuring just 3 cm in diameter, this little medal has the most exquisite hand painted enamel scene of a battle/war.

The details are incredible the camp, soldiers, landscape & sky are meticulously painted using a wide range of colours - the work of a true master! I can't quite believe how they managed fit in so much detail in such a tiny space!

The reverse of the medal is stamped 'Sterling Silver' & 'Spencer, London'.

Comes in excellent condition for age.
