Silver Art Deco 3 Piece Tea Set William Neale
Stylish art deco silver 3 piece tea set with ebony handle and knop to the teapot. Unusual octagonal form with lovely curved waisted panellled walls and stepped feet and shoulders to the teapot and rims of the sugar bowl and jug. The sugar bowl and jug have nicely stepped detail to the squared thumb rests mirroring the angle of the carved handle of the teapot. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1931, makers William Neale & Sons Ltd.
The teapot measures 16.5cm (6 ½”) high, 27cm (10 ½”) long and 14cm (5 ½”) wide. The jug is 8cm (3 1/8”) high, 12.5cm (5”) long and 8.5cm (3 3/8”) wide and the sugar bowl is 7.5cm (2 7/8”) high and 14.5cm (5 5/8”) by 10cm (3 7/8”) wide. All pieces are a very good gauge of silver with a total weight of 959g/30.8ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage or dents and very light surface wear, it appears very little used. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
