This is a wonderful and rare to find Antique Silver and Niello Checkerboard Lorgnettes, made in the late Victorian period. It bears some Silver marks to the bottom ring on the handle but they’re rubbed and unable to determine any information from them.

It is in very good condition but does exhibit some age-related wear from handling and use, which includes some surface marks, commensurate with the age of the piece. However, the lens’ are intact and in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and to the handle there is a sleeve that when pulled down releases the lens as it should so they’re side by side. Overall, when closed, it measures approximately 14.5cm in length.
