Pretty Art Nouveau Silver Jewellery Box
A small silver antique jewellery casket with hinged domed cover with pretty shaped reeded edge. Set on three cabriole feet with stylised flower bud and leaf terminals. Raised edging to the base and rims it retains its original pale pink silk interior, leather base and it is gilt washed inside the lid. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1919, makers A & J Zimmerman Ltd.
It measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high and weighs 52g / 1.7 troy ounces.
In very good condition, the silver has only minor signs of age and use but with fractional distortion to the lower rim edge which isn't discernible unless viewed from below and the circular box itself is fine. The maker's mark is partially rubbed. The silk interior is frayed in the centre and the leather base shows expected signs of age. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
