Pair of Chinese Champlevé Enamel Vases

A fine pair of mid 20th century Chinese champlevé vases on footed wooden stands in perfect condition.
These are decorative garlic-neck vases with a floral design comprising wide bands of trailing blue flowers separated by narrow bands of repeating floral-inspired motifs.
Champlevé is a technique in which the troughs are cast into the metal body and filled with vitreous enamel. It is distinguished from the technique of cloisonné enamel in which the troughs are created by soldering flat metal strips to the surface of the object. These vases are a particularly fine example of champlevé work.
Dimensions: 23.5 cm height (including stands) by 12 cm in diameter
Weight:
Vase 1: 571g inc. stand
Vase 2: 600g inc. stand
Condition: Perfect with no bruising or loss of enamel
