This is a large antique ink stone display set. A Chinese, ornamental set of calligraphic stones, dating to the Victorian period and later, circa 1900.

Striking ornamental display, ideal for the collector or restauranteur
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Enticingly framed with superb layering of materials, the stones pressed behind glass
Decorative frame edge with bamboo effect and patterned gilt metal border

Clear and bright, the glass provides a superb view of the calligraphic stones

Mounted upon silk cotton with a chased foliate embroidered pattern
