Late19th/Early 20th Century Pit Pony Bridle horse bridle pit %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A genuine leather pit pony bridle.
This apparently came from the Baggeridge Colliery, Sedgley, West Midlands. Baggeridge used pit ponies up until it's closure in 1968.

There are of course repair work on the bridle as you can see from the pictures but in all round pretty good condition for it's age and use.
