Vintage silver compact mirrors. This powder compact is a suitable, beautiful & practical handbag mirror. A magnificent solid silver Czechoslovakian powder compact in excellent condition. Such an elegant powder compact it would make an ideal silver wedding gift / 25th anniversary gift. The lid is exquisitely beautiful - complex guilloche engraving & bright-cut details which shimmer in the light. The central cartouche is inscribed with the initials 'M H'. It is fully hallmarked high grade .900 silver on the lid & base. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. The interior is also delightfully pretty with engravings surrounding the mirror & powder well. The base is decorated with an attractive engine turned design of vertical lines & tiny chevrons. Both the lid & base have embossed scroll work on the edges. Measures 4" & it weighs 131 grams.
