Unusual English silver sugar box after an 18th century German style. Rounded, lobed shape with stepped lid, curved thumb catch and set on 4 cabriole feet. Hallmarked for London 1919 and maker Charles Stuart Harris & Sons.

It measures 5" wide, 3 1/2" deep and 3 3/4" high and weighs 257g/8.3ozt. Condition is very with no damage, dents of repairs. Light surface wear appropriate for age. Hallmarks to the reverse: the makers mark is rubbed but the other marks are clear inside the lid maker's mark slightly rubbed but legible and other marks clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
