George V Silver Sauceboat Mappin & Webb 1911
Very nice early 20th century silver sauceboat in a Georgian style with flying C scroll handle, beaded rim and sent on stepped hoof feet with acanthus leaf terminals. Pretty engraved detailing to the feather cast thumb rest. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1911, makers Mappin & Webb and further marked with the Mappin & Webb London retail mark to the base.
It measures 15cm (5 7/8") long, 8cm (3 1/8") wide and 9.5cm (3 3/4") high. It weighs 174g/5.6ozt. Condition is excellent with no dents or marks, it stands beautifully, minimal surface wear and lovely clear marks. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
