George V Silver Handled Muffin Fork, 1932
This is a George V Muffin Fork with a Sterling Silver handle and a Silver Plated head and tines. The handle is decorated in the thread and bow pattern and the head has scroll engraving. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The muffin fork is made in Sheffield by Harrison Fisher & Co and dates to 1932. Founded in 1897, they became Harrison Fisher & Co in 1907. They made both Sterling Silver and silver plate items and remained in business until the early 1980s.
Condition is good with just the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 110 years of use. There is no significant plate loss. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The muffin fork is 15.6cm / 6.1ins long and weighs in at 32.8g / 1.1oz.
The hallmarks on the handle are nice and easy to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the crown assay mark for Sheffield, the date letter p for 1932 and the H.F & Co makers' mark for Harrison Fisher & Co. The head of the fork has the EP mark for silver plate, the S for Sheffield and the H F & Co makers' mark for Harrison Fisher & Co.

The muffin fork is made in Sheffield by Harrison Fisher & Co and dates to 1932. Founded in 1897, they became Harrison Fisher & Co in 1907. They made both Sterling Silver and silver plate items and remained in business until the early 1980s.
