George V Silver Dish / Potato Ring London 1912
Pretty early 20th century silver dish ring of typical concave tapered form with pierced and engraved decoration of flowers and vines, interspersed with arabesques and scrolls. Points of interest are a flying songbird and a mother swan swimming on the river behind her cygnet. It has a large shaped cartouche that is unengraved. Fitted with a clear glass liner. Hallmarked for London 1912, makers the Pairpoint Brothers.
It measures 16.3cm / 6 3/8" across the base, 14.3cm (4 5/8") across the top and 7.3cm (2 7/8") high. The silver weighs 225g / 7.2ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs and very light surface wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
