George V Dressing Table Pot, Robert Pringle, 1921

This is a stylish George V Slice Cut Glass Dressing Table Pot with a Sterling Silver Lid. The upright pot has a plain base and 10 slice cut panels down its length. The domed silver lid is plain with a gilt interior. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The dressing table pot was made in London by Robert Pringle & Sons and dates to 1921. Robert Pringle started his business in London's Clerkenwell Road around 1870, with his sons joining the business in the mid-1880s. The company manufactured in London, Sheffield and Birmingham. They remained a family run firm until finally closing in the late 1950s. They made a wide range of silverware for domestic and personal use but are best known for their consistently good quality tableware and flatware.
Condition is good, with no chips or cracks in the glass and just a couple of shallow creases to the top of the lid plus the superficial surface wear that you would expect after over 100 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The dressing table pot stands 8cm / 3.1ins high and is 3cm / 1.2ins in diameter. The lid by itself weighs in at 2.7g / 0.1oz of solid Sterling Silver and all together it weighs 46.8g / 1.6oz.
The hallmarks, on the rim of the lid, are nice and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the leopard's head assay mark for London, the date letter f for 1921 and the R.P makers' mark for Robert Pringle & Sons.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
