George V Beaded Silver Teaspoon Wilmot Mfg Co-1930

![](http://staticaz.antiquesatlas.com/images/loading_new.gif)
This is a good quality George V Sterling Silver Beaded Teaspoon with a coffin end featuring leaf decoration. Coffin end spoons are a variation on the classic Old English pattern where the end of the stem has been squared off to create a coffin like shape. The stem has beaded decoration along its full length and the squared off end has acanthus leaf decoration.
The spoon is made in Birmingham by the Wilmot Manufacturing Co and dates to 1930. The Wilmot Manufacturing Co were based in Birmingham\'s Camden Street, which runs down one side of the famous Jewellery Quarter, between 1912 and the start of the Second World War.
Condition of the teaspoon is very good with no dings or dents and only the superficial surface wear that you would expect after 90 years of use. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The teaspoon is 12.5cm / 4.9ins long and weighs a respectable 17.6g / 0.62oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on the underside of the bowl are well struck and clear to read. They show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the date letter F for 1930 and the W M Co in circles makers\' mark for The Wilmot Manufacturing Company.
Shipping in the UK is £4 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
Overseas customers please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
