George III Silver Soy Frame 4 Bottle Cruet Set
This is a fantastic George III period Silver Soy Frame with 4 super glass bottles to form a Cruet Set. The Soy Frame bears the Silver Hallmarks for the London Assay Office, the makers mark for Charles Chesterman II and the date letter for 1791.
The Soy Frame Silver is in in very good condition with no dings or dents, although 3 of the nuts to the underneath to hold the frame have been replaced. The frame measures approximately 22cm wide overall and has a Silver weight of 210g
The glass bottles are all in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration with all stoppers present and also in very good condition. One bottle stopper has a spoon attached to it, which is unmarked but likely to be Silver. The silver necks to the bottles are showing a little age-related wear of some minor tarnishing and most of the silver hallmarks are rubbed.
Included with the Soy Frame is an envelope from the retailer D & J Wellby of Garrick Street which also includes a card inside detailing the information about this piece. Also included on this card is a hand-written message about an inscription, although there is no inscription to the frame.
Please take a look at the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself, as they form part of the description and if you wish to ask us anything about the item, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer, debit/credit card (via SumUp secure payments - we will provide a payment link) or Paypal. Payment by cash on collection is also acceptable. Cheques are not accepted.
