Very nice example of the highly collectable French silver scenic band thimble known as The Milk Maid or sometimes, The Broken Pitcher. It depicts, as the name suggest, a young girl crying over her broken pitcher of milk in a farmyard scene. Typical of French thimbles of this period it has all over waffle and is marked a size 8. Excellent condition with no holes or repairs. I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
I regret that due to current regulations I am unable to ship ivory items to the United States, even though all items are CITES compliant.
