'Helmsman' a large patinated bronze sculpture circa 1925 modelled as an athletic male wearing a loin cloth, leaning and pushing against a tiller bar, on a rectangular black marble base.

Inscribed to base and cast in the bronze 'Guiraud-Riviere' (Maurice Guiraud-Riviere, French, 1881-1947).

Height including base: 44cm/ 18"

Width: 59cm/ 24"

Condition: Very good original condition. A few small areas of patina loss and small repair to lower front left hand corner of marble base.
