This is a fine quality Brass Fire Fender.

It is early 19th Century in date (Late Georgian / Regency) and stands on 3 cast brass Lions Paw Feet.

It is made of heavy brass sheet with a rolled top edge and has pierced fretwork decoration.

The riveted iron base plate retains the sockets which would have held Fire Iron supports, and also the metal 'stops' to retain the fire irons in position.

Condition: Excellent.
