Wonderful and rare early 20th century Professional Ventriloquist Dummy,having numerous movements being totally original and untouched and in his original high quality Aldersgate suitcase made of leather and wood construction with metal protected corners.Attributed to Len Insull,This little guy has been tucked away in his suitcase for over a half century,he hasn't even been cleaned.Hard body of papier mache and wood construction,head attached to wooden pole that has metal levers for movement of parts.Original brown tweed suit and fixed stiff collar,papier mache boots and hands.
He has real hair although thinning,
Fright wig,
Wonderful vivid blue glass eyes.
winking and blinking eyes,seperate or together
closing eyes
Crying eyes
Flapping ears
upper lips open and close
bottom mouth opens and closes
Smoking mechanism
right arm mechanism,salutes.
nodding head,
360 degree turning head.
Leather jaw and eyelids in excellent condition,no rips ect.
He wears a period pair of windsor gold frame spectacles(stamped windsor usa)no glass lenses
The original rubber tube for smoking is present
The crying mechanism is present and correct,just missing rubber tube.
All strings for movements appear to be original although they are all tangled up.
To sum up....
All original untouched ventriloquists dummy.attributed to Len Insull,requiring some T.L.C,restoration.Any questions or further pictures then please ask.
