Cased George V 3 Piece Christening Set, 1921

This is a good quality cased George V Sterling Silver 3 Piece Christening Set from the 1920s. The set consists of an Egg Cup, a Napkin Ring and a Spoon. None of the pieces have any initials or personalisation of any kind making them ideal as a gift today.
The Egg Cup and Napkin Ring are made by Zachariah Barraclough & Sons and assayed in Chester in 1921, whilst the Spoon is made by Cooper Brothers & Sons and assayed in Sheffield in 1921. The spoon is probably not the original one but matches the set in style, size and date so is a very acceptable substitute if it is not the original.
Condition of the set is very good with no dings or dents and only the most minimal superficial surface wear. It seems likely that the set has only had very limited use in the last 100 years and has principally been kept as a treasured gift. The box is a little scuffed on the outside but is otherwise in good condition with both the hinges and clasp in working order. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The egg cup is 6.2cm / 2.4ins high and 4.6cm / 1.8ins in diameter. The napkin ring is 4.7cm / 1.8ins in diameter and 3cm / 1.2ins deep. The spoon is 11.3cm / 4.4ins long. The set of three together, unboxed, weighs in at a substantial 83.3g / 2.9oz of solid Sterling Silver.
The hallmarks on all three pieces are clear to read. On the Egg Cup and Napkin Ring they show the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the sword & 3 wheatsheaves assay mark for Chester, the date letter V for 1921 and the Z.B & S makers' mark for Zachariah Barraclough & Sons. The Spoon has the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the crown assay mark for Sheffield, the date letter d for 1921 and the C.B & S makers' mark for Cooper Brothers & Sons.
Shipping in the UK is £10 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value of the set.
