Ani attractive Victorian solid silver Christening set, spoon and fork, clear hallmarks on the back of the handles for the London Assay Office with the date mark for c1892 The maker''s mark are for silversmith: John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater. The set comes in the original retailers case, which is a brown leatherette material and inside is decorated with a lovely deep purple velvet pad and cerise satin with the retailers marks stamped in gold ''Mappin & Webb Silversmiths to the Queen London & Sheffield''.
